If you’re thinking about visiting Partea NYC in Union Square, here is my honest review!
I loved my visit to Partea NYC Union Square, which is a Taiwanese night-market themed arcade with the cutest claw machines and a bubble tea cafe.
I found myself pounding at the claw machines like I was a kid again. Check out Partea for wholesome fun in an upgraded, Cyberpunk-like setting!
Partea NYC Review
Arcade with the cutest machines and prizes
The first thing you’ll notice when you enter Partea NYC are the neon pink and teal claw machines.
The neon signs against the black backdrop made the whole place look futuristic and even more electrifying. It reminded me of Cyberpunk.
The second thing I noticed were how adorable the prizes inside the claw clips were.
It was nothing like when I was younger, when I played the claw machine for fun, but the prize dolls were kinda meh. Nope, these gifts were so cute I felt it in my heart: I had to play, and I better win!
The prize dolls included a Hawai’i Hello Kitty, and a Gudetama keychain (it’s a Japanese egg-shaped character!).
Then, there were huge prizes inside the claw machines at the very back. I saw a HUGE Kirby, just sitting there waiting to be rescued.
How hard is it to win a prize?
From the looks of it, most visitors in the arcade had won something. The claw machines for the smaller keychain prizes were not as hard, and I won a summery Hello Kitty with a duck-patterned inflatable tube around its waist!
The claw machines for medium-sized prizes were harder. I saw people pay lots of times before they were able to rescue their prizes! I figured it tends to get harder the larger the gifts are, or the more irregularly shaped they are, because the claw is flimsy and the prize often falls down quickly.
The huge dolls were in a different type of machine. I have personally never seen these types of arcade machines before.
The prize dolls were hung up on a plastic string. What you need to do is to pause the scissors at just the right moment (since they gyrate back and forth), so that the blade can cut the plastic string hanging up the doll prize.
It was way harder than it looked!

Partea NYC Gacha Vending Machine Prices
Partea NYC Union Square has a large selection of gacha vending machines to choose from. The gacha machines cost $5 per play.
Gacha machines are essentially vending machines with mystery variations of gifts that come out.
Each machine has its own set of toys – at Partea, I saw small electronic game players in different colors to cutesy figurines – but you don’t know which variation of that particular toy you’ll get until you pay.
Partea NYC Menu & Prices
There is a cafe at the entrance of Partea NYC with bubble tea and quick snacks. Note though, that there is no real seating area; you’ll have to grab and play!
Bubble Tea & Drinks
Partea has a wide selection of bubble teas, which cost $6-7. They had pretty much all of the typical flavors, including fruity teas, tea-based bubble drinks, yoghurt flavors and taro.
Snacks
Partea NYC Union Square has fried chicken dishes, like popcorn chicken ($9) and boneless chicken ($13).
They also have fried gyoza ($9) and a few different flavors of fries (OG Fries are $7, and the special flavors, like honey butter fries, are $8).
The food and drink prices are standard to slightly high for NYC.
Partea NYC Review (Conclusion)
Overall, my honest Partea NYC review is to definitely go! It’s the perfect fun thing to do on a date or with friends.
